AM3352: About SPI Fan-out Issue

Hi Sir

We used AM3352 for development with LINUX OS.

We would like to use SPI interface to connect MSP430F5438A x 6pcs.

Question:

We wonder AM3352 doesn't have the capacity to fan-out to six MSP430 devices ?

please advise

Hi,

You can find the McSPI timing requirements in section 7.12.1.2 of the AM335x Datasheet Rev. K. Maximum load capacitance is given in Table 7-86.

Thanks for your reply
We saw the max.load cap. Is 25pF for AM335x.

We need to connect to MSP430 device x 6pcs and the MSP430 I/O input cap. is 5pF.
It seems it will over the spec.

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi,

You will need external buffering on the SPI lines.
