I want to use the HSR / PRP protocol on Gigabit Ethernet ports for TMDSEVM572X. How can I do that? Can I use the PRU-ICSS HSR/PRP package for this? And what other ways exist?

Can we implement it with out the PRU using the normal RGMII interfaces from the AM572X ?

Hi Dimitry, sorry for the late reply. Our HSR/PRP implements Switch functionalities (storm prevention, statistics, cut-through, etc) in PRU-ICSS Firmware along with PTP. Important HSR/PRP functionality, for example removing duplicates, happens in PRU-ICSS FW.
I don't think you can get same performance if you use a regular Eth interface and implement HSR/PRP in the stack on top..

We use gigabit ports. 100 megabit ports do not suit us. What can you offer?

As Paula explained, "important HSR/PRP functionality, for example removing duplicates, happens in PRU-ICSS FW."
You may consider our latest device www.ti.com/.../AM6548, which support gigabit from PRU-ICSS. Note HSR/PRP on AM6548 hasn't released yet and should not happen before 3Q. What's your time frame to get the HSR/PRP feature with gigabit port?
