I am having trouble selecting a proper DDR3 for my Sitara board. I had previously chosen a DDR3 with one less address pin and one more column (goes from a0 to a14 instead of a15, but has 512 MB), but that got me thinking ... is this possible? According to the datasheet
"The number of column,row and bank address bits used is determined by the IBANK, RSIZE and PAGESIZE fields(seeTable7-207)"
According to my understanding I could use a 512 MB DDR3 (4 Gb) that has one less address pin and one more column and I'd still get all the desired memory. Is that right? Maybe this is a very basic question, but this is my first linux board and I'm missing this information. I have also already purchased the memory and I'd really like to use it and not throw it away.
