When ISP(Image Signal Processor) is in monochrome mode, what image processing occurs by Imaging Subsystem(ISS)?

Our image sensor is monochrome, Wide Dynamic Range, no companding, 12-bit output.

Please provide a detailed answer as to what image processing is done by ISS when ISP is in monochrome mode.
