Dear Sir,

Customers who are using C2000 and have developed planning of motion trajectory and control theory on C2000 for long time.

Currently, they are considering to migrate C2000 to C66x.

Is there a tool or guideline which can help them convert their own developed source codes on C2000 to C6000 platforms (single DSP like C674x or C66x inside AM57x)?

They expect this transition can be done easily to extend their development result on TI DSP platform.

Hi,

If they migrate from C2000 MCU to C6000, they may need to think about:

- What OS they use? TI SYSBIOS or bare metal? For SYSBIOS, please look at: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Category:SYSBIOS
- Toolset, the compiler for C6000 is: www.ti.com/.../c6000-cgt
- C6000 resource: training.ti.com/keystone-arm-dsp-multicore-device-training-series
e2e.ti.com/.../2051.dsp
- MCU source code porting: is that mostly CPU code or driver/peripheral code? For CPU code, they need consider the architecture difference between C2000 and C6000. If they use peripherals, the drivers also need to be ported, please check the PRSDK RTOS user guide:

Hi, Eric,

It is bare metal and here target mainly in CPU code. It is more on mathematics and algorithms.
Will C2000 source code can be complied directly by C6000 compiler or it requires code format or syntax change to be done?
Are there successful cases from your experiences?

Sorry, I didn't use C2000 in the past, if they are just CPU code I thought they can be compiled in C6000.
