TDA3: Utils_tskCreate()

Hi I would like to create a general task (thread) to handle requests from network_ctrl. Utils_tskCreate() seems to be designed for link task creation. I would like to still be able to trigger a command in the task handler to perform some settings. Please advice...

Hi Khai,

You could definitely create a task using this API, Utils_tskCreate function, but in order to receive messages, you need to register it as a link..

But I am not creating a link and the code I have is not a link. I just want a thread that can receive messages from network control.

Is there another way besides a task for processing messages from network_ctrl?

Hi Khai,

In that case, do you really want task?
You could use system task for the same. You could register your callback to the system task and system task will call yr callback when it receives any command. In the callback, you could identify the command and process it accordingly.
You could refer to API Iss_DccCmdHandler_Init in the file vision_sdk\apps\src\rtos\iss\src\common\iss_utils.c..
