AM4379: Uniflash Error when trying to load image

Hi,

i use Uniflash Version 4.6.0.2176

and i want to flash the idkam437x-EVM to boot from Qspi

i generated a boot.bin which i want to flash now via uniflash to adress 0x00000000

when i click on Load Image i get the following error :

Error!
Can't generate board data file C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\TEXASI~1\CCS\TICLOU~1\0\0\BrdDat\ccBoard0.dat An invalid processor ID has been found.

How to solve this issue as Processor i selected AM4379 debugger is xds100v2

Hi Haxor,

Do you use that latest version of the AM43x PSDK RTOS v5.02?

If yes, please follow the guidelines provided in the below user guide:

Hi,

I use processor sdk rtos am437x 5_02_00_10

I also tried via command line instead of the uniflash GUI still the same error.

any help ?

Haxor,

I suspect the issue is caused by AM4379.ccxml. You need to create your ccxml file under CCStudio and selecting AM4379 do not looks correct to me for AM437x IDK board. In CCStudio menu, when selecting "Board or Device", select IDK_AM437x instead of AM4379. Check below user guide, it explains for AM437x EVM, and it is similar for AM437x IDK.

Hi I created a new idkam4379.ccxml how you suggested and it worked for me so the issue for command line execution is solved.

But i still have problems with the uniflash GUI

when i select the same idkam4379.ccxmlfile an try to start from there i get an error message:

Haxor,

From what I am able to find, uniflash GUI does not support AM437x device (and the whole Sitara/K2G family of devices). Sitara/K2G support only Uniflash CLI (Command Line interface) tool.

I found some different Information here:

under supported Devices there is Am437x Listed

Haxor,

uniflash_4.6.0 support Sitara and K2G devices, but only with CLI, not GUI.

This is confusing because i can select it there ?
