RTOS/AM5728: DSP performance problem

Part Number: AM5728

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi, kind TI and everyone!

I researched the performance data of AM5728 Cx66 DSP as bellow:

http://www.ti.com/processors/digital-signal-processors/core-benchmarks/core-benchmarks.html

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/OpenCV?tdsourcetag=s_pctim_aiomsg#Profiling_results_of_DSP_optimized_OpenCV_OpenCL_kernels_.28PLSDK_3.1.29.2C_AM5728_platform

http://www.ti.com/processors/digital-signal-processors/libraries/open-cv.html?tdsourcetag=s_pctim_aiomsg

https://www.embedded-vision.com/platinum-members/texas-instruments/embedded-vision-training/documents/pages/opencv-ti%E2%80%99s-dsparm%C2%AE-plat?tdsourcetag=s_pctim_aiomsg

These data has different values.

Q1. At 2nd URL, what means DSP optimized, cycles (per core) DSP baseline wall clock DSP optimized wall clock ARM wall clock? And how can I configure these?

Q2. Please tell me the correct performance value, specially for erode, SobelX/SobelY, GaussBlur (3x3) at Cortex A15 and C66x DSP.

Thanks.

Regards, aither.

  • Hello Aither,
