Linux/AM3354: LCD image is split. Works fine in kernel 4.9 but split in kernel 4.4

I have connected a LCD and displaying the image using a frame buffer program. This works fine in kernel 4.9 but not in kernel 4.4 I have attached the image for your reference. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.
