Please help me to overcome this problem.

Thank you.

  • Hi Salman,

    it looks like some problem with permissions of the files on the rootfs - systemd complains about files having executable and write permissions.
    Can you repeat steps in chapter "2.4.2.1.4 Download and untar file system" from VisionSDK_Linux_UserGuide.pdf and recreate the SD card?

    Regards,
    Yordan
  • Hi Yordan,

    Thank you for your prompt response.
    "2.4.2.1.4 Download and untar file system" resolved my issue and I am able to login as root.
    Now I am stuck due to following problem:

  • Hi Salman,

    did you made any changes in apps/configs/tda2xx_evm_linux_all/cfg.mk?

    Also can you try clean build:

    rm -rf vision_sdk/binaries
    make clean
    make linux_clean
    make linux
    make linux_install
    make -s -j depend
    make -s -j

    Regards,
    Yordan
  • Hi Yordan,

    Yes i did tried clean build but still same issue.

    Yes i have made changes in apps/configs/tda2xx_evm_linux_all/cfg.mk file.

    I have attached cfg.mk file.

    I have seen  this thread. But the mentioned patch is already applied in vision_sdk 3.5. I did verified it.

    For more information and reference output of  make showconfig shown:

    salman@salman-HP-Compaq-6200-Pro-SFF-PC:~/vision3.5/PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_05_00_00/vision_sdk/build$ make showconfig

    also in the last post of the same thread check the modification in ipu entries in the .dts file.

    I followed the steps.

    But now I am getting error while building  make -s -j as

  • Hi Salman,

    did you run "make -s -j depend" before "make -s -j"? Can you try with removing "binaries" directory:

    rm -rf vision_sdk/binaries
    make clean
    make linux_clean
    make linux
    make linux_install
    make -s -j depend
    make -s -j

    Regards,
    Yordan
  • Hello Yordan,

    Thank you for your kind reply. I followed your steps but still I got linking error.

    I solved this problem and now have successfully build and tested it.

    Following steps I have followed :

    1. Make changes in vision_sdk/apps/configs/tda2xx_evm_linux_all/cfg.mk

    PROC_IPU1_0_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_IPU1_1_INCLUDE=no
    PROC_IPU2_INCLUDE=no
    PROC_A15_0_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_DSP1_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_DSP2_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_EVE1_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_EVE2_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_EVE3_INCLUDE=yes
    PROC_EVE4_INCLUDE=yes

    IPU_PRIMARY_CORE=ipu1_0
    IPU_SECONDARY_CORE=ipu2

    2. Make changes in PROCESSOR_SDK_VISION_03_05_00_00/ti_components/os_tools/linux/kernel/omap/arch/arm/boot/dts/dra7-evm-infoadas.dts

    &ipu1 {
         timers= <&timer9> , <&timer11>;
        /delete-property/ watchdog-timers;
    };

    &ipu2 {
        /delete-property/ watchdog-timers;

    };

    &dsp1 {
        /delete-property/ watchdog-timers;
    };

    &dsp2 {
        /delete-property/ watchdog-timers;
    };

    3. From vision_sdk/build folder, run these commands

            make linux_clean

            make clean

            rm -rf ../binaries

            rm -rf ../links_fw/include/config

            make linux

            make linux_install

            make -s -j depend

            make -s -j

    And it solved my problem. Thanks a lot for your timely support.

    Regards

    Salman.
