TDA2PXEVM: BT1120 format for LCD display

Hello Community,

I want to get the BT1120 video format. By default the video format is VPS_DCTRL_DVOFMT_GENERIC_DISCSYNC, which is set in DisplayDss_main.c. I changed it to VPS_DCTRL_DVOFMT_BT1120_EMBSYNC and also in chains_common.c for LCD display I changed it to SYSTEM_DCTRL_DVOFMT_BT1120_EMBSYNC.

Is it enough to get the BT1120 video format on LCD display or do I need to change some more configuration.

Thank you for the answer. Here in mentioned document the dvoformat mentioed is Vps_DctrlOutputInfo.dvoFormat = VPS_DCTRL_DVOFMT_GENERIC_DISCSYNC;
But why VPS_DCTRL_DVOFMT_GENERIC_DISCSYNC is used instead of VPS_DCTRL_DVOFMT_BT1120_EMBSYNC ?, since I want the BT1120 video format on display at output.

This is due to DSS limitation mentioned in the doc.

Hello Rishabh,

So if i am correct the TDA2px will not give any BT656 format or BT1120 format. We can just configure it to give RGB565 format.

Hi Neil,

Yes this is correct, you cannot get BT656 or BT1120 output due to silicon limitations.
However you can use this workaround.
