DHCP v. Static

Hi,

I am debugging using TFTP/NFS configuration. I am successfully loading the kernel via TFTP using a static IP address for the EVM. I have configured /etc/network/interfaces to boot linux with a static IP address. When the systems boots I see "Sending DHCP requests..." and a pause before the boot sequence continues. When the system has booted completely it is configured with the static IP correctly. How do I eliminate the "Sending DHCP requests" portion of my boot sequence?

Thanks,

Ken
