Linux/AM5728: AM572x camera code example recompile

Dear All,

I modified dual camera code example provided in SDK 05.02.00.10 and i want to recompile it (on host system or on target board) to run it on target board (AM572x EVM) but i cant able to find the procedure for recompiling please share some documents or link so that i can carry out it smoothly

Hello,

You could build the dual-camera demo by executing
make dual-camera-demo
in main PSDK folder(/.../ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.02.00.10).

The other way is to follow this guide :
software-dl.ti.com/.../Overview_Building_the_SDK.html
But use
MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake dual-camera-demo
instead of MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake arago-base-tisdk-image

When needed, source code under the work directory can be modified. After the modification is done, run the following commands to force recompilation with the new code and rebuilding of the recipe, e.g.,
MACHINE=am57xx-evm bitbake dual-camera-demo --force -c compile

thank you Margarita, another issue is when i switch on the EVM (am5728) i need to restart evm for more than 5-6 time to detect camera this is happening regularly what may the issue

other wise it will show "please wait" on EVM display

in place of dual camera C code can we use python code with AM572x , if yes do we need to install other compiler or same compiler will do the work , any procedure for the same

what is the command to restart weston (GUI matrix), after weston is stopped using /etc/init.d/weston stop we tried with /etc/init.d/weston start / restart but no matrix GUI is visible

We do not have python v4l2 capture test and I am not very aware with python but please take a look into this articles. I think they could be in help:
