TMDSLCDK6748: Emulator to be used with this Development kit

Hello

I am teaching a DSP lab at the university using OMAP-L138\TMS320C6748 EVM

We are thinking of moving to the new development kit: TMDSLCDK6748

I understand that an external emulator is needed for that and we have some old emulators that are called: XDS510 USB Rev: B from Spectrum Digital

Are they compatible with the new board?

Hi Maoz,

XDS510 USB Rev B does not present in the recommended development tools list at TMS320C6748 product page:
www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware
because XDS510 USB Rev B is obsoleted product but according to L138/C6748 Development Kit (LCDK) User's Guide:
www.ti.com/.../spruil2.pdf
XDS510 is supported and they are compatible. Therefore you can use XDS510 USB Rev B with TMDSLCDK6748.

XDS110 JTAG Debug Probe supports TMDSLCDK6748 but If you are using Code Composer Studio you need to have version 7.0 or later.
