Hi.

My customer was reading the EDMA section of TRM and had question about supervisor access.

Question 1
When both supervisor access and user access are enabled, can they be accessed regardless of memory attribute?

Question 2
Is it possible to access the user access area under the following options?

・Supervisor access enabled
・User access disabled

Could you clarify if the questions are regarding to access modes or EDMA channel controller regions, logical channels, or a memory region that is accessed by the EDMA?

Questions are a memory region that is accessed by the EDMA.

Rei,
Each memory region shall have one bit specified access privilege, they can be either User or Supervisor but I am not sure you can set both.
To the second question, are you referring to a scenario sometimes used by Digital Right Management (DRM) software, where a user data need to be encrypt/encrypted with a Key that is only known to the Supervisor? If so, we have secure DMA infrastructure for this purpose.
