Hello to all!

I'm trying to run an example of using the SPI driver:

Source code: <PDK/packages/ti/drv/spi/example/spi_flash/src/main_spi_flash_read_example.c>

My board: TDMSEVM6657

I am using next components:

-> pdk_c665x_2_0_8

-> bios_6_52_00_12

-> xdctools_3_50_04_43_core

My project with your source code is in the attachment.

My problem: SPI_transfer() is hang.

Where should I look for a mistake?

Hi,

Could you clarify if you're using the unmodified SPI example from Processor SDK RTOS? Have you done any modifications to the code?

Also when you debug with CCS, have you used breakpoints to step into the code? On which function does the app stop?

I am using the unmodified source code from Processor SDK RTOS. I created a project and pasted the main_spi_flash_read_example .c source file from the Processor SDK RTOS, included the necessary libraries via the * .cfg file and added some pre-defines (SOC_C6657, DEVICE_C6657, evmC6657, BARE_METAL). That's all.

Yes, I am using breakpoints. The application stops at the Board_flashOpen () function (line 144 in main_spi_flash_read_example .c).

Ok, thanks for your feedback. I will test the default example (SPI_BasicExample_C6678_c66xTestProject) on my TMS320C6678 EVM and then your project and let you know the results.

Hi,

Try removing the BARE_METAL define and use bios to start the tasks in your app. Again I recommend stepping into the code to localize hangs if any.
