Linux/AM5708: Regarding linux driver support for MAX24287 ethernet interface conversion IC

Hello experts,

We have a ethernet conversion IC max24287 which converts MII to SGMII, we need to develop the u-boot drivers for the same.

Can you please guide us how we can interface to configure this device in u-boot level?

Some examples or links how we can add drivers for conversion chipset, it will be helpful!!

Hi,

Unfortunately TI will not be able to support what you are asking since this is about an external device to the SOC. Also I don't know of any links to offer for examples either. Normally I would say contact the device manufacturer for a Linux driver since you will need one when you get to Linux. Looking at the TI forums for any indications this question may have been addressed before I found this thread which indicates that Microsemi does not have a Linux driver but a TI forum community member posted a possible solution. Hopefully this helps.

We would like to get some information about how CPSW is done on AM571x-idk in the u-boot, we will write the drivers understanding the current architecture.

We got some documentation how it is done kernel level as given below link
