RTOS/TDA2EXEVM: Not able to access C++ class object in IPU1_1

Hello all,

I have a class whose .cpp files are compiled for all cores. Here I have created one object of same class. This object I can access in DSP1 and even on DSP2 but not in IPU1_1.

I tried using #pragma also as mentioned in above posts but it is not working.

Can anyone help me to resolve this issue.

Hello Rishabh,

In file1.cpp
#pragma DATA_SECTION(".bss:extMemNonCache:linkStats")
ClassName obj;

file1.cpp is getting compiled for all the cores.

I am able to read/write same object from alg-plugin running on DSP1 and DSP2 but same is not possible from alg-plugin running in IPU1_1.

I hope you are calling both below statements on all cores..

#pragma DATA_ALIGN(obj, 32)
#pragma DATA_SECTION(obj, ".bss:taskStackSection")

Hello Brijesh,

I am calling the above statements only where I am defining the global object.

I tried one more option of doing the above from alg- plugin C files. Then I am able to access the object in all cores.

So as per my analysis above "#pragma.." statements work only for C files but not for CPP files.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Kirti,

Pragma syntax in C++ is slightly different.

You should use the below in C

#pragma DATA_ALIGN ( symbol , constant );
#pragma DATA_SECTION ( symbol , " section name ");

You should use the below in C++

#pragma DATA_ALIGN ( constant );
#pragma DATA_SECTION (" section name ");
