RTOS/TDA2P-ACD: Issue With Draw2D_drawLine Function

Hello,

I am using Draw2D_drawLine() function to draw line from my vision sdk link to display on HDMI.

While this function draw straight line for horizontal and vertical points, but when the points are for a slope, there are inconsistencies in the line drawn on HDMI.

I have attached the image below.

As can be seen, the drawn line is not straight but with zigzag effect. Is there any way to draw a consistent line using Vision SDK draw2D functions.

Hi,

Is the issue is only seen while drawing a line with a slope.
What is the Draw2D_LinePrm *pPrm are you sending?

Hi Anuj,

Yes the issue is seen only for a line with a slope.
Below are the parameters passed,

Draw2D_LinePrm LinePrm;
LinePrm.lineSize = 2;
LinePrm.lineColor = RGB888_TO_BGRA444(0, 0, 255, 255);
LinePrm.lineColorFormat = SYSTEM_DF_BGR16_565;

Draw2D_drawLine((Draw2D_Handle) pImgDataPtr,
500,
50,
290,
136,
&LinePrm);

Can you try to send Draw2D_LinePrm LinePrm; as NULL and try?

Hi Anuj,

With LinePrm as NULL, it does not draw anything.
Tell me one thing is this an issue of Vision SDK Draw2D functions or is it the issue of algorithm itself (algorithm used for drawing line with a slope) ?

Hi,

Can you try with line color format as SYSTEM_DF_YUV420SP_UV
and color as 0x960000.

Hi,

Color format SYSTEM_DF_YUV420SP_UV and color as 0x960000 doesn't draw anything.

Hi,

Can you check if you are reducing the slope and at whats the threshold for slope when the issue is observed.

Hi,

If you draw a inclined line then it will come like this.
As it is developed as a demo code only so its not support everything.
If you are interested then you to change the logic and draw each pixel.
