RTOS/66AK2G12: Request information about PRU-ICSS

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,

I'd like to know some claritication about the programmable real-time unit subsystem and industrial communications subsystems (PRU-ICSS).

I know that the SoC includes two PRU-ICSS. Considering only one PRU-ICSS unit, is it possible to have two Ethernet ports with each of them with a distinct MAC Address?

My application requires two Ethernet ports to be linked to two different subnets, therefore I have to be sure to use one or two PRUs.

Thank you for your collaboration.

  • Hi,

    The device TRM states:
The PRU cores within each PRU-ICSS have access to all resources on the SoC through the Interface Master port, and the external host processors can access the PRU-ICSS resources through the Interface Slave port.

Meaning that PRU core should be able to access all three EMAC ports.

    Best Regards,
