Linux/AM3352: iperf3 test issue with AM3352 and DP83867IR

Part Number: AM3352
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83867IR,

Tool/software: Linux

Hi Team,

The customer uses the AM3352 and DP83867IR to set up the system and communicate with a computer. During 100M full-duplex mode test, the speed is 99.4Mbps. However, when configured to 1000M full-duplex mode mode, the speed is 88.1Mbps which is abnormal. The U14 signal is shown below, the U14 output signal is not continuous which may be the cause of throughput issue. Could you please give some advice on the software configuration?

The log message is shown here.

  • Hi,

Please complete this checklist and post the results here: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../5x_CPSW
  • Hi,
In addition to the checklist to be filled out there is a significant issue with the PHY maintaining a link with it's link partner. This doesn't look like a config issue but more like a HW PHY issue. If these messages are continuing to be printed out during the throughput test then I would agree with the assessment that the throughput issue to directly tied to not maintaining a link with the link partner. Are that messages seen with working at 100Mbps?

Also please tell us which signal name is muxed in for U14. Since this is a networking question I will assume that it is one of the tx data lines.

    Schuyler
  • Hi,
Since we have not heard back we will assume that you were able to move past the issue and will close the thread.
