AM3356: NAND upgrade

We have been using NAND Flash Micron part MT29F4G08ABABEAH4 (2Gbit ) interfaced to AM3356 in our board .

We now want to upgrade the FLASH to 4Gb / 8Gb . will it require any Hardware / software change

Now we are using 2Gb NAND with 2048 Page size , Does the page size has a significance in choosing the Higher version NAND .

For eg : Can we use 4Gb/8Gb Flash with 4096 Page size

Hi,

Yes, you can boot from NAND with 4k page size, but not from NAND with 8k page size.

Hi,

For AM3356, Which is the limiting parameter in the processor which allows only upto 4096 Bytes (4k page size) and doesn't allow 8k page.
