WEBENCH® Tools/TDA2P-ABZ: SD card:

Part Number: TDA2P-ABZ

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi

1.

Power selection for SD card: it is mentioned in the manual that the following instructions are needed to use dual-voltage power supply: 1.8v / 3.3v

Want to know under what circumstances will need to switch power supply, the default on the voltage is there a requirement?

Does the power supply of SD card need to be switched?Or just fix 3.3v

2.What interface is MLBP?There are very few descriptions in the manual and there is no Glossary.

  • Hi,

    1. I'm not SD card expert, what I know is that SD cards must wake-up with 3.3V for compatibility with older SD cards. Afterwards, the controller checks the SD card if it can support 1.8V and then switches to 1.8V (not sure which SD cards core or I/O was switchable). I beleive the SDIO standard dicusses this detail.

    2. MLB - Media Local Bus. MLBP, I think, is one of the interface variations. Kindly check the TDA2P TRM (technical reference manual, peripherals section, chapter MLB).

    Regards,

    Stan
