Invalid pricing info on C5515

I have been using the budgetary pricing info provided by TI for the C5515 in order to justify using this part in a low cost product.  I just got a quote from Mouser for QTY 50,000 of the C5515 that is almost 2X the QTY 1,000 budgetary pricing provided by TI.  This is for the lowest cost version of C5515, (TMS320C5515AZCH10).

This may not be the proper forum, but from my point of view, this is just like any other number that is provided in the device summary page, and it should be something an engineer can use in the selection process.  As it is, I am in a world of hurt on this project now.

Can TI please update this info to reflect the current reality?

  • Hello Dustin,

The web page prices are only 1ku budgetary pricing and I just checked it to be accurate for 5515AZCH10.  There must be something wrong with the quote u got for 50ku. High-volume pricing is coordinated with the disty and TI so we cannot discuss about this in this forum.

But, you are right that the higher volume price must be smaller than the 1ku pricing. We like to encourage customers to purchase more, not the other way. :-)  Pl contact your distributor for this discrepancy. Pl contact me if you cannot resolve this by emailing me at gurrapu@ti.com

    Thanks,
