Hi Champs

i am trying to find the linux driver that supports virtual channel on the CSI2 interface on the TDA2P device? If you can point me to the SDK or the kernel version that would be great.

Also i like to understand how the testing was done for the CSI2 virtual channels. What do I need as hardware and software to do the same testing please?

I assume you are using FPD-link to test multiple camera inputs to the CSI2 input on the TDA2P if yes can you point me to the linux drivers for the FPD-link device that is used.

The Linux CAL driver does not support virtual channel based CSI capture

Only the RTOS driver supports this feature

thanks for the reply, by the way can you tell me how the testing was done with the TI RTOS using multiple cameras please?

Also can you point me to the driver files for the RTOS version i a not that familiar with the TI RTOS.

Hi Mohsen,

We have 2D and 3D Surround view usecases, which uses this virtual channel feature. It essentially captures four channels from sensor like OV10640, AR0140, IMX390 etc. These sensors are connected to UB960 HUB, over FPD III link, UB960 hub interleaves them, assigns them separate virtual channels and send them over CSI interface.. which is captured on SoC on the separate buffers and then processed..
