Hi,

We are using,

Hardware : TMDSEVM572X AM572x General purpose Evaluation Module

SDK : ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.03.00.07-Linux-x86-Install.bin

We are trying to flash the kernel image to the on-board eMMC flash from the SD card, but somehow could'nt achieve this.

So can you please guide us regarding this issue.

Hi,

Here are the basic steps:

1. partition the eMMC
2. Create a filesystem on the partition.
3. Copy the rootfs files to the partition.

The create-sdcard.sh script provided with the SDK is a great reference for the specific commands as working with an eMMC is the same as working with SD Card. The script is in the bin directory of the SDK.

If you are having failures, please provide logs of what you are trying to do and what is failing.

Could you please share a script file which flashes the eMMC memory with the SD card image ....

This reduces a lot of our development time...

Ankush,

The create-sdcard.sh provided with the SDK would be a great reference. It is in the bin file of the SDK.

Here is a script put together a few years ago that is a bit more specific to eMMC.
