Jim,
This device is still available. The higher speed variant is lifetime buy status. However, the 66Mhz version is NRND status, but still being built.
It is NRND due to the age of the tools that support it, not because of diminishing supply.

If you are looking at doing a new design, then I can help point you to newer DSPs that meet your needs and fully supported with compilers and tools.

Presumably you meant the SM320C50PQI80, and not PQ180.
