The need for 33 ohm resistor array?

Hello all,

I am trying to connect a DM355 SPI to an MSP430 running at 3.0V.  I looked at the EVM schematics and found that they route the lines each through a 33 ohm resistor.  Do I need to have 33 ohms resistors on the lines?  I read the datasheets and did not find a reference.

Thank you,

Amer

In general, I would follow the schematics and leave the resistance at 33 ohms.  The resistors may only be necessary if you're operating at very high speeds or long distances, but they are there for protective purposes so it's probably a good idea to keep them as long as you have the space to place them.
