Hi,

No, all AM335x reference designs are minimum 6-layer. Suggestions for a 4-layer stackup can be found in section 7.7.2.3.3.3 of the AM335x Datasheet Rev. K.

ok, a 4 layer design can be done with the Am335x.

You have also experiences with the DDR3 RAM? Can it be also done with 4 layers?

Personal opinion: If I was designing the PCB I wouldn't try to do it in 4 layers. There are far too many signals and power supply connections. The Beaglebone Black is a very robust 6-layer PCB design. I have reused it for custom boards with 100% success regarding signal integrity and EMI.
