Linux/AM5718: Ethernet port not working

Hi,

Is this a custom board or the AM571x IDK EVM? What software are you using? Which version?

It is AM5718 IDK EVM,and I am using ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.03.00.07

Can you provide a block diagram or describe how the ports are hooked up? Are the ports being connected simultaneously to the same subnet? For example, here I am asking if all the ports are connected to same the dhcp router.

Also please take look at this Ethernet triage checklist and attach (not cut and paste) the results.

Hi,

        We are using TI AM5718 EVM with ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.03.00.07.

We used the commands "ifup eth0", "ifup eth1" , "ifup eth2" ,"ifup eth3" for enabling Ethernet0, Ethernet1, PRU2Eth0 and PRU2Eth1. These were successfully enabled.

Regardless of whether Jumper J51 is opened/closed, we are not able to enable PRU1ETH0 and PRU1Eth1.

Hi,
I will setup a board and work on replicating the issue that you are experiencing. I will be out of the office tomorrow but will be back Monday and will respond then.

But to confirm you have network traffic on all Ethernet ports on the AM5718 IDK except the ones on PRU1, is that correct?

Yes, you are right.I got network traffic on all port except on PRU1,and also I have to know  how the mac addresses are assigned to these ports(pru1 &pru2),how to get the mac addresses.please reply.
