RTOS/TDA2P-ACD: ISP planar output

Can ISP output YUV 422 Planar image format? ISP supports SYSTEM_DF_YUV422I_UYVY, but I need SYSTEM_DF_YUV422P. If not, is there some way to convert interleaved data to planar (FULL HD, 60 fps), for example VPE link ... ?

Do you mean to get YUV422 Planar output from ISP? Neither of these IPs, ISP, VPE support YUV422P output format..

Why do you require YUV422 in planar format..

Yes, I wanted to get YUV422P from ISP or to do conversion from YUV422I to YUV422P.

It is required by our customers in order to get better compression performance.

So, it is not possible to do that by hardware, it should be done by software?

Hello Stefan,

If you need YUV422 Planar, that must be done in SW. You can use DSP or EVE for fast real-time conversion.
