Linux/AM5728: BB2D driver

Part Number: AM5728

Tool/software: Linux

Hi Experts,

Our customer is elevation BB2D driver. During their verification, customer noticed that this driver-code seemed to do transition to Power-off state (Low Power state?). if there is not any operation for about 300 msec.

After that, Image compositing operation was performed again, this processing seemed to be longer because the initialization process worked. Due to accumulation of this initialization period, performance seemed to be worse.

Customer, therefore, is considering to disable the transaction to Lowe Power state. Could you expect any concerns about this implementation (Disabling Low Power state) ?  Also, customer would like to know the reason why design-concept of transition to Power-off state is implemented.

It is really appreciated If your expert is able to share advice/comments on these.

Best regards,

Miyazaki
