Leopard Image LI-5M02 board and its 2A source code

Hi fellows,

Did any of you ever buy a development board (any of the LI-xM0x, see www.leopardimaging.com) from Leopard Image? I am going to buy its LI-5M02, a 5MP Aptina sensor card that can directly plug into the DM365 EVM. I was told by its sales that I would get the source code for both AWB and AE (the 2A) with purchasing the board. Is that true? Anybody out here knows?

You know, it's hard to design the 2A and IPIPE from the ground up. TI used to have a group which develops the PDK for DM350. But TI cut it out. I don't know how you guys design your 2A and IPIPE, or where you buy them from.

This is a very good point; it is my understanding that Leopard takes the TI kernel and modifies it to add support for their sensors and provide customers the newly updated kernel. How many updates they do I am not really too familiar with. In the TI kernel, you wil find some AEW (includes AWB and AE) and AF source code. I wonder how much (if any) modification Leopard makes to this code; you may want to ping them on this as well as support for the code if you need to make changes.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Leopard sales told me that the 2A source code is delivered as is and no support. With the source code we may do some modifications to support our own sensors. However Leopard did not mention any IPIPE function source code. I wonder if you know where we can get TI kernel source code for the IPIPE, or better ever the whole TI kernel source code.

If you can at least find out which version of the LSP (TI kernel) Leopard Image based their code on, you can get the appropriate kernel source code from TI here.
