DVEVM Serial File Transfer

Is there a serial file transfer program on or available for the DVEVM (like Kermit in bygone days) which allows transferring of a file to the TMS? We have a production board on which the TMS has only a serial connection (no USB, Ethernet or SDCARD etc). Fitted with a preprogrammed flash containing U-Boot and Linux, the board will boot into the normal Linux prompt, and we'll need to then copy files over to it (via serial) to be stored in the flash file system.
