Linux/AM5706: Pin compatibility with AM570x

Hi All,

I have a debugging board with the AM5718 design (AM571x Industrial Development Kit) I would like to use the design as the base for the device on AM 5706.

I have a question about pin-compatible data processors.

Hi Ruslan,

AM5706 and AM5718 are not pin to pin compatible. AM5706 is in 538-Pin FCBGA (CBD) package but AM5718 is in 760-Pin BGA (ABC).

Hi Tsvetolin,
I found the reference design for the DRA71X DRA71X_DRA79X_TDA2EX17_AM570X CPU board.
www.ti.com/.../tidrts1 (DRA71x / DRA79x /TDA2E-17 / AM570x)
Can I take it as a basis for developing AM5706 (AM5708)?

Yes, you can use as basis linked reference design as take into consideration package differences.
