RTOS/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM65X: MSI interrupts with the R5 processor

Hi,

We would need to use MSI interrupts with TI-RTOS and the R5 processor, but in the pcie_sample source code (am65xx\src\pcie_sample_board.c) we have seen a comment that states that “no interrupts can be sent to R5”. Is this comment right?

Is there a workaround for having MSI interrupts working with the R5 processor?

When will be the MSI interrupts supported for the R5 processor?

The code comments "/* On the AM65XX devices, no interrupts can be sent to R5
because the legacy interrupts are not connected to the NVIC,
and MSI/MSIX use direct writes to the GIC-500
*/"

This is the current status and we don't have recent plan for this work. Please use the MSI to A53 instead. Sorry for this!

Hi,

There are many driver examples on AM65x. Please see software-dl.ti.com/.../index_release_specific.html

Those examples can run on A53 and R5F, the interrupt on R5F should work.
