Linux/TMS320C6678: Porting Ubuntu 8.3

I want to port a more latest version of Linux (Ubuntu 8.3) onto the C6678. How do I do this?

Hi,

TMS320C6678 does NOT support Ubuntu.

Thanks but I saw an older version (2.0) of Linux being ported onto the C6678. Please go through the following and please give your views.

Also when I said Linux, I didn't necessarily mean Ubuntu. Any other distro will work.

Hi,

The C6x linux release WILL WORK on TMS320C6678 devices, however, note that this is a very old release which is no longer maintained and has limited support.

I'd advise to resort to RTOS on C6678 or some other processor that has ARM + C6000 DSP (for example AM57xx, 66AK2Hx or 66AK2Ex, OMAP-L138, etc...).
