Dear All：

When I use OMAPL138 EMAC to build a Network,some issures occured!

When I use PC to connect my board 10/100M Ethernet RJ45, PC Ping my board is ok;

but when I use PC to connect 4 boards through a Ethernet switch,Ping 4 boards at same time is NG, Ping anyone of 4 boards is ok;

I want to know why,is there anything happing on my linux??

Hi Ben,

Could you check ethernet configuration of all four OMAPL138 boards? I need to see output of "ifconfig" command executed on each board. If would like to be sure that the IP and MAC addresses are unique on each one of the devices.
An other possible reason for issue should be network cable type - crossover or straight cables.

I confirmed the IP and MAC addresses are unique on each one of the devices；

but I'm not sure that network cable type，I will check it；which type should be ok？？

You should use ethernet patch cables when OMAP-L138 devices are connected to PC via switch. If you are using such cable type but the issue still appears i suggest you to make a "Wireshark" capture file when pinging an attach the "cap" file.
If you have not installed "Wireshark" ethernet sniffer program you can download it at:
www.wireshark.org/download.html
and you can find in the net some tutorials about how to use it. I suggest you one:

thanks your reply! I change cable type ,but issue is not be resolved! when pc sent pockets frequently, my socket recive application thread is interrupted 300ms by some other thread or app! I don't find out why and how to solve the 300ms interruption.

There are still many unknowns around your environment and what exactly happens.

What packet rate do you mean when PC sent packets frequently?

Could you try to change your TCP socket implementation to use non blocking ping sending. You can search in the net how to do that. For example take a look at:
