66AK2G12: How to use ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography) hardware accelerator

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Hi,

My customer wants to use ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography) function in TI processors.
I found in the original thread that ECC hardware accelerator(HWA) exists inside 66AK2G12, but it is not supported by TI SDK.

My question is whether it is possible for customer to use the HWA by themselves or not.
I guess it is possible if we have documents for such purpose, but I was not able to find any documents which describe the HWA in details (function, registers, etc.)

If we do not provide such information, the HWA is really useless. No software support, no hardware information.

Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro

  • Tashiro-san,

ECC function is supported in Security accelerator on K2G and AM65x in the TI processor portfolio. The ECDSA IP used in both the devices is the same and offers the same functionality. The software support and firmware for this module is found Security accelerator (SA) LLD driver that is part of Processor SDK RTOS and

    software-dl.ti.com/.../index_device_drv.html

There is a SA Unit test in the package that shows how to load the firmware and make calls to generate ECDSA signatures and verify using predefined input and output vectors. The documentation for the HW is not publicly available and needs a secure NDA for us to share. This is in place due to proprietary IP vendor restrictions around this module.

Please close the thread here and We will contact you offline to share more information if your customer needs more information.

    Regards,
    Rahul
