AM5706: DHCP packets have MAC source Address set to all zeros

Part Number: AM5706

Hi, I'm having a weird issue while trying to assign an IP address to an AM5706 processor. Using DHCP protocol, the first DISCOVER packet goes out and has an accurate source MAC address in the ethernet section. However all packets (DISCOVER or REQUEST) after that have the source MAC set to 00:00:00:00:00:00. The server sends out an OFFER, but since the MAC address is blank, the server rejects it.

Has anyone come across this or have ideas of where to go digging?

Thanks!
