Hi,

According to the ch3.15.4.4.1 on http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/docs/05_03_00_07/linux/Foundational_Components_TIDL.html#developer-s-guide,

OpenCL firmware is downloaded to M4.

Is there any limitation for available OS for M4 for TIDL usecase? (For example, bera metal or iTron are available for M4 ?)

Hi HaTa-sa,

In processor SDK Linux release M4 runs TI BIOS. You can run other OS on M4, but understand the TIDL API and framework running on host A15 offloads the deep learning processing to EVE subsystem using OpenCL framework underneath, so that other OS should be capable of handling it.

Yes, host A15 offloads the deep learning processing to M4, which in turn controls the EVE subsystem to run those layers.

Hi Manisha,

Where can I download the details about M4 activity for TIDL?

I check the TIDL API site (http://downloads.ti.com/mctools/esd/docs/tidl-api/intro.html) however I cannot imagine how M4 work for TIDL.
