Linux/AM5728: USB documentation

Part Number: AM5728

Tool/software: Linux

Hi TI,

We would like to modify and debug the Sitara Linux USB device driver and noticed the reference manual indicates (section 24.7, pg 6171) we should contact our sales representative on how to obtain the documentation under NDA.  Our local Arrow representative sent us to the TI forum for support.  Do you have contact information available to discuss the NDA process?

Best Regards,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

Unfortunately the TI policy on NDAs such as this one has recently changed. The result of this change is that we are no longer able to provide this documentation. The reference manuals are in the process of being updated to remove this language.

If you find a bug with the TI SDK offerings (RTOS or Linux), we can help you resolve them here. Support for OS's or drivers other than the ones that TI provides is not available via this forum.

  • Hello DK,

We are attempting to debug the existing driver however there doesn't appear to be any specifications or test criteria available to validate against.  These devices are marketed for a variety of features and customer applications beyond that of the evaluation boards and software.  We have invested a significant amount of time and money developing platform hardware with support for this device and have reached an impasse where we cannot afford to delay the project by going back and forth over an inefficient support forum in lieu of having standard documentation and supporting material available.  The reference manual advertised support documentation for this product and we need something equivalent to proceed effectively.

We may be able to work an agreement for tiered support if available otherwise we have few options.  I am not going to post my phone number in a public forum but it is listed on my account, please have a manager contact me as soon as possible.

    Jason

  • Jason,

    Thanks for using Sitara Processors.

Your post above mentioned that you are trying to debug and existing driver. Would you please describe the issue that you are seeing?

Our e2e has been used as our primary support for this type of issues and during the years, we have been able to support countless number of customers.

  • Jason,

we are closing this post. In case you want to share the issue with the driver, we can re open it.

    Thanks for using TI Products.
