TMS320C6678: H264 video encoder

hi,

i use H264 High Profile Encoder Version01.00.03.00 to encode video in HP profile in multiple core (4 core) and it is work fine.

but when i want to encode my video by BP profile and change the profile from HP(100) to BP(66) the program fail in all core " Failed in Control call (XDM_GETBUFINFO) " ?!

in datasheet there is a benchmark table that use BP and that is faster than HP.

Do you use Processor SDK RTOS? Which version?

Hi Saman, could you share all your encoder params? .. one quick tough is that maybe GOP structure maybe wrong for BP (maxInterFrameInterval >1)..

Hi Saman, I just found an example for BP encoder params in my archive. Attached in case you want to take a look. On top of my head you need to change GOP structure to IPP and use CAVLC as entropy coding.

I test my program with encoderConfig_2500Kbps_60FPS_GOP15.cfg but it print the same error

some of my settings that chaneg from encoderConfig_2500Kbps_60FPS_GOP15 is

nCored = 5;

intraFrameInterval = 1;

interFrameInterval = 1;

targetBitrate = 10000;

HDRBufferlevel = 20000;

Hi, could you attach all your used configuration params? also, could you try with 1 core (ncores=1)? and finally could you try adding some P-frames (ex: intraFrameInterval = 12)
