Hi Biser,

I confirmed the software version.
In fact, it is really old one and Processor SDK is not used.

SYS/BIOS 6.35.04.50 is used for kernel.
Ethernet driver was made by software 3^rd party.

It looked that if the customer had the Ethernet connection dropped then it can't recover, unless they do a system reset or PHY reset. Given this is not TI software, I don't know how we support this. What is the expectation to TI from customer side? Can their software vendor detects the link error then reset the PHY as a workaround?

- similar issues reported before
- possible solutions
- advice for debug

Could you give me some more information about your comment?
- Suppose Ethernet link is dropped, is it likely CPSW stop sending TXEN?
- In current situation, PHY is reset by externally(reset pin is driven low by hand). I am not sure how CPSW knows PHY is reset. Is there any mechanism CPSW monitors PHY?
- Could you explain how to detect the link error?
