Linux/TMDX654IDKEVM: Compiler option issue

Which compiler are you using? There are two tool chains provided in the AM65x one is armv7 (r5) based and the other is armv8 (a53)based.

I see the  -mabi=ilp32 is supported and referenced in several places. Apologies I should have asked in the previous post what and how you are compiling. Could please post the command and what you are trying to compile?

Enviroment Setup:

- install ti-processor-sdk-linux-rt-am65xx-evm-05.03.00.07-Linux-x86-Install.bin

- install  linux-devkit.sh

- source enviroment (. environment-setup)

hello.c:

#include <stdint.h>

int main()
{
int32_t a=25;
printf("Hello World\n");
return 0;
}

Compile:

As you can see fisrt compile(without ilp32) works, but second compile gets error.

Thank you for posting the steps that you are doing to compile the hello.c file.  I will need to discuss with the SDK development team the issue that you have found. This may take a couple of days, I will post back to this thread the status as we make progress.

What is the latest state in this issue? And do you have any temporary suggestion to build and run 32 bit application with aarch64 architecture?

I was able to reproduce your issue after having some side issues I had to work through which were unrelated to the issue you are reporting. I am working with the SDK team to see why that include file is not there. I don't know if it is as simple as just adding the include file to the source tree. I am concerned that there may not be library support either.
