Hi,
We have problem with initial setup of the board. We are unable to acquire the IP Address on Hyper Terminal (Windows 7). Screen shot is attached for reference.
Hi,
Which example are you running on your board and what output do you expect? It seems that the board is initializing by IBL and starts BIOS successfully, then enables the ethernet.

Yordan
Hi,
Ethernet is not getting enabled. That is the issue. We followed setup guide and ensured all hardware and hyper terminal settings. The IP Address should be displayed in Hyper Terminal, if the ethernet is enabled. What else shall be done to acquire IP address???
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Do you connect your EVM to a DHCP host (that is configured to provide the IP address)?

Yordan
Hi,
Is there any procedure on how to configure the HOST ? This information (Configuring the Host) is not available in Setup Guide. Please give us the procedure if you have any.
Best Regards
Suresh
Hi Suresh,
You need to setup your host pc to be a DHCP server and provide IP addresses to the eth devices connected to it. There is no guide from TI about this, you could use the community support, for example:
Another option is to connect the EVM to a router/networks that provides DHCP service (assigns IP addresses dynamically).

Hi Yordan,
That solved our problem.
Thank you very much for the help.
