Please, I need to ask about TMS320DM8148 Encoder/Decoder can I consider Encoder/Decoder is active simultaneously or encoder is active only or decoder is active only? appreciate your fast response?

Also, can you provide me with ARM Cortex-A8 version for TMS320DM8148 like version 7 or version 8.2,...

Hello,

Programmable High-Definition Video Image Coprocessing (HDVICP v2) Engine
- Encode, Decode, Transcode Operations
- H.264, MPEG-2, VC-1, MPEG-4, SP/ASP, JPEG/MJPEG

It is possible to use decoder and encoder in the same pipeline but it depends of resolution and fps.

DM8148 is capable of decode or encode 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps (dm8148 has only one HDVICP) but decode and encode at 1920x1080@60 is not possible at the same time.
