DM365 GPIO52

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320DM365

Hi,

According to TMS320DM365 datasheet, 2009-03 (sprs457).pdf page 34

BGA ID J18 (GIO052) has an internal pull up resistor.

But according to TMS320DM36x ARM Subsystem (sprufg5).pdf page 157

Register PUPDCTL1 bit 18 : GIO52 Pull down enable 0:disable 1:enable

What is the status of the Pull up resistor in each state of the bit?

Tanks Oren.

  • After digging into this a bit, this looks like it is an error in the SPRUFG5 ARM subsystem guide, the bit description for GPO52 of PUPDCTL1 should read 'Pull up enable' instead of 'Pull down enable'. With this change the rest of the documentation should make more sense, as the default state of PUPDCTL1:GIO52 is 1 to enable the pull up as reflected by the datasheet, so to be more specific to your question the pull up resistor will be active if this bit is set and will be inactive if this bit is cleared.

I will still have to verify this internally and hopefully get this fixed in a future revision of the document, if it looks like this is not the case I will let you know.

  • Hi,

Can I assume that this issue is solved?

I recently came across this and would like to resolve the same.

    Thanks and Regards,
