DM365 boot mode

Hi,

Does anyone know whether DM365 SPI boot mode or EMAC boot mode actually work?

There is a difference between "chip support it" and "software support it". Does anyone successfully test these mode before?

thanks a lot.

  • SPI mode has been tested and is working; however, the software support for SPI boot mode may take some time to become available.   With regards to EMAC boot mode, there is an adisory on the DM365 errata that is limiting this functionality at the moment, but there are plans to fix this in the next silicon revision.

  • Hi ,

I have one question.   The ARM SubSystem Guide for DM365 suggests that DM365 can be booted through USB. But i believe for this a custom software needs to be running on a Host . What i wanted to know was whether DM365 USB boot has been tried . If yes can i get  the software required to perform this .

    Thanks

  • Shantanu,

Could you consider booting from U-Boot over USB.  In that way you can use standard tools on Host to download the firmware if that is what you are aiming to do?
