Background

As you see the picture here, there are bar and timestamp show up when weston started.

The output is 1280X720, thus the QT application is not fullscreen.(at the left corner, the 2D is not show fully)

How to make the QT app fullscreen with weston

What is the version of weston used here?

Can you refer these two threads and set panel-postion to none

You can configure weston to ivi-shell with this change in /etc/weston.ini

[core]

shell=ivi-shell.so

[ivi-shell]

ivi-module=ivi-controller.so

ivi-input-module=ivi-input-controller.so

For the posts your shared, we also have two QT applications, maybe need to control the overlay for each

and the desktop-shell not support the position,so the ivi-shell is preferred ?

Hi,

desktop always select a random position for a surface. If you want to set the position , ivi-shell is preferred.

There are LayerMagerControl utility to control the position in ivi-shell or you cna use ilm APIs in your application.
